The Power of the Clock
Sitting here wishing I was there
Restrictions and constraints lie all around.
Oh clock,
What power you have
The very essence of time in your hands.
Turning seconds into minutes
Minutes into hours
Hours into days
You tell me when I need to be up
When I am free and when I am not
You put constraints on my day
And go against my own way
When I want you to blaze like a sprinter on a track
You inch forward like a snail
Tick
Tick
When I wish you to stand still
In order to eternalize the sweetness of the moment,
You playfully jump and skip the seconds by
Tick Tick
Tick
Mettlesome clock,
I take away your power
And you are stopped
But time still goes on

The Walk

As I travel down that lonesome road
I often wonder who I'll meet
She came walking by one day
I looked at her and she looked away
As I glanced back
She looked at me as if to say

Don't give me your pity
Cry for me not
All I ask for
Is to give me a shot
At the dreams I have
And the life I want
Don't give me your pity
Cry for me not

I looked at her hard
The rags she wore
Holes in her shoes
Dirt on her face
I looked down
She looked away

Don't give me your pity
Cry for me not
All I ask for
Is to give me a shot
At the dreams I have
And the life I want
Don't give me your pity
Cry for me not

Days fly by
People fade away
So I ask myself
Why oh why
Do people grow old
And slowly fade away

Don't give me your pity
Cry for me not
All I ask for
Is to give me a shot
At the dreams I have
And the life I want
Don't give me your pity
Cry for me not

So I ask you my friend
Please don't go
Down the lonely road
And Fade Away
Down that lonely road to fade away

2nd Place
Second place is the first loser
He is better than all but one
Better than third
Better than fourth
But not first
Ask an Olympic silver medallist some time,
`Sure it would be nice to have the gold
But there is no shame with being number two`
I used to feel this was true
Until I tried to win you.
My body and soul were at your disposal
I gave you all of my heart.
As I rounded the corner darting down the home stretch,
I was all alone.
No one was in my rear view
I smiled and leaned across the finish line
And then I saw someone I had missed,
Someone who was running with me from the start
I thought he was in another race,
In which he was already the winner.
How could he run again?
The how, I don't know
The WHY, I know all too well
I feel betrayed by the rules,
But I must obey.
And take the defeat he handed me
Now I am number two
Knowing second place is the first loser
And through my eyes,
That's really
No place at all
The one that I hate

The one that I hate
Is fun to be around
Outgoing, courteous, and cute
Enchanting eyes
Like a nice warm house
Inviting you in
Beautiful smile
Always at a grin
Open arms
Eager to comfort
With one gentle embrace
Intriguing mind
Always playing so many thoughts

So you may ask
How can anyone
Hate a person as lovely as this
But I will ask you
What do you see
When you look into the mirror
The one I hate
The one I hate
Is the one I want to be with
Gorgeous enchanting eyes
Like a warm house
Inviting you in
Beautiful smile
Always at a grin
Open arms
Eager to comfort
With one gentle embrace
Intriguing mind
Always playing so many thoughts

She's to perfect
I can't find
Anything about her
I hate
And I hate her for that.
Today is the Day
Today is the day
The day to live
The day to die

Today is the day
The day to love
The day to lose your love

Today is the day
The day to be born
The day to be still born

When you run
Run as if it were your last race
When you play
Play as if it were your last chance

When you love
Love blindly
Trust wholeheartedly
Hurt completely
When you cry
Cry long sorrowful tears
For today is the day

Live each day
For the day
Preparing for tomorrow
Expecting it to be
But do not fear
If it is to never be

Because today is the day
The day to live
The day to die
My Girl
When I am with her
The world revolves around us
All my isolation, pain, and sadness
Are nulled by her sweet embrace
Her touch is gentle and soft
As compelling as the Nebraska wind
It's as if the Hanging Gardens
Were lifted for
My Girl

My Girl is the sunlight
Shining trough to me
On cloud choked days
A mystical coat of Armor
Protects her fragile body
She'd take on the world if she could
Just to make everything alright

Oh how I fear for the day
When I hear her say
Good bye my sweet, good bye

Until that day
I will not live fearing its arrival
For her kiss is too sweet
Her love is too great
So I will cherish the days
In which you have blessed me
For on that day
I'll know not what to say
Good bye my love good bye
Never again My Girl
HER
The presence of her, brings a smile to my face
The joy it creates cannot be replaced
Her compassion is inexhaustible
Her intelligence is unsurpassable

Her Love is like a wild fire
Starting with a spark
Growing to be a place of warmth
Moving to consume all in its path
I saw her coming but did not move
Now being engulfed by her love
Everything is serene
Tranquility flowing through my veins
Without her I am not me
If Nirvana had a face
Her would be in that place
Complete love
Complete trust
Complete happiness
That is HER
Wishing, Wanting, Knowing

Sitting here

Wishing you were near

Wanting to see your beautiful smile

Know for that I'd drive many a mile

Seeing you would be a complication

Even with out fornication

For societal norms would surly shun

Our type of union, though it would be immense fun

For now I am an object of your lust

Even tough I'm one you should not trust

For the dark secrets I hide

May keep you from my side

But for today

I hope you stay

For I do not want you to go

Even though I know

You should spread your wings and fly

Before I tell another lie

Shed a tear?  I just might

But it would not be caused by fright

Rather shed from eternal bliss

Knowing I loved you with out even a kiss

Good Day

Fretting turns you old and gray.

So don't do that today.

Instead go along your merry way

And be thankful for what you have today

For no one knows when it will all go away

And on that ghastly day

Remember all that is right, today

My Love for the cowgirl

Loving you I do

Even though it makes me blue

The tears shed not out of pain

Even though you are my vein...

The blood of my life you are no doubt

And know that I don't have you I will surely pout

And piss and moan....

Maybe turn into a drone...

Love you I will

Even though I know I should kill

My feelings for you

Which are so true

Will never be

For you will see

That what you have now

Is better than my bow

Or my ass

Or smoking grass

But in Kentucky

You will always be

The smile of my soul

And my feelings for you are not null

Conversations that we had

Always made me oh so glad

And with these parting words I'll say

Oh love me nay

Oh love me hay
